  • 4 Dracula sausage links
  • 4 hot dog or sub buns
  • 1 tbsp butter, softened
  • Yellow or spicy brown mustard
  • 1 cup sauerkraut, drained
  • Dill pickle slices
  • 1/2 small onion, finely diced (optional)
  1. 1Cook the sausages on a medium grill, or in a skillet over medium heat, for 15 to 20 minutes, turning often, until browned and cooked through to 160°F (71°C) for pork or 165°F (74°C) for chicken.
  2. 2Butter the cut sides of the buns and toast them in the skillet or on the grill for 1 to 2 minutes until golden.
  3. 3Warm the sauerkraut in a small pan for 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. 4Place a sausage in each bun. Top with mustard, warm sauerkraut, pickle slices and diced onion.
  5. 5Serve right away.

Tip: Slit the sausages lengthwise after cooking if you want them to lie flat and hold more toppings.
